Software release XPeng Norway's Google Maps upgrade claim removed from interview
On 19 October BilNorge removed the sentence in which XPeng's Norwegian product manager, Morten Maastad, said the G6, G9 and P7+ would get the L03's new cockpit software, XOS 6, with Google-based maps, as an upgrade. He told BilNorge, in an interview about the G9L, that the L03 is XPeng's first car with XOS 6 and the G9L has the same setup. When XPeng announced Google Maps navigation for the L03 in July, it said L03 owners outside China would be the first to get it; Maastad had named three models to follow. Separately, XPeng picked owners in Germany and Austria on 4 October to test its next international update, OR3. A moderator of the owners' forum that recruited them says the cars in that test get XOS 5.12, an update of their current software, not XOS 6.
Milestone XPeng passes 10,000 cars in Norway, doubling in under a year
XPENG Norway said it had passed 10,000 cars on Norwegian roads; the 10,000th, a G9, was delivered by agent Ålgårds Auto. The release says XPeng was the seventh most-registered brand in Norway so far in 2026, targets more than 7,000 sales for the year, prices the L03 from 286,000 kroner for a July launch and previews the G9L for the Oslo Motor Show in October 2026.
