  2. Milestone XPeng starts building its own team in Brazil

XPeng began recruiting its first dedicated HR manager in São Paulo on 14 September 2026, to build the function “from the ground up” and to hire across commercial, technology, after-sales and corporate roles as it “continues to grow its presence in Brazil”. Quatro Rodas has reported that XPeng will run its own operation in Brazil rather than work through a local partner, and that it has hired executives from GWM's and BYD's Brazilian businesses. No launch date, prices or showroom have been announced; Brazilian reports point to a start in 2027.
