Volkswagen weighs bringing China-developed cars to Europe
Reported
Volkswagen is preparing for possible imports of China-developed cars into Europe, brand chief Thomas Schäfer told Autocar at the Paris motor show. Volkswagen had already raised the possibility in April. Any selected imports would add to its existing European range, Schäfer said. Autocar identifies the ID. UNYX 09, co-developed with XPeng, as a potential candidate; Schäfer did not name that model in the published remarks. The sedan opened for pre-sales in China on 24 September, with its official launch due in late October.
