XPeng's VLA 2.0 and Tesla FSD driven on the same Amsterdam streets

Confirmed

Reports of XPeng's second-generation VLA and Tesla's FSD (Supervised) driven on the same Amsterdam streets appeared on 28 September; the Netherlands approved FSD (Supervised) in April, the first European country to do so. Xinhua quoted German Tesla owner André Scheidler, who tried both: “Tesla is very comparable to the Xpeng”, and reported that on a narrowed roadworks section the XPeng passed in one go while the Tesla reversed twice. CleanTechnica's Larry Evans rode in a pre-production L03 running VLA 2.0 on Amsterdam roads on 11 September, reporting three driver interventions but no system disengagements. XPeng's chief executive, He Xiaopeng, wrote on Weibo that XPeng had compared its system with a competitor's and expects it to pull further ahead once VLA 2.0 is officially rolled out in the Netherlands; XPeng expects to release it to European customers in 2027.
