XPeng folds four product lines into two, 36Kr reports

Reported

XPeng has merged its four product lines into two, 36Kr reported on 28 September, citing several industry sources. The F line (P-series sedans) and the I line (overseas products) have been folded into the G line, which covered the large SUVs such as the GX and G9L; everything except MONA now sits in G, and MONA stays in the D line. The former head of the F line now leads product definition for the G line, and the former head of the I line moves to overseas affairs, excluding overseas vehicle sales. Fewer lines, 36Kr says, should focus R&D spending, cut costs and avoid clashes of positioning and price between models. XPeng has not confirmed the change.
